WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT AVISO

There is a lot of science, technology and experience that goes into each Aviso surfboard. The crew at Aviso has worked in the defense industry, specializing in composite covers for missiles heads and jet fighter nose cones. So, as you can imagine, the guys putting together these surf rockets are a bunch of dopes (yeah, sure). Like Surftech, Aviso stresses the fact that they can duplicate your magic shape (once you find it) over and over, without fear of discrepancy and human error. In addition to having the ability to clone surfboard shapes, Aviso has created a surfboard that is hollow, allowing for a deck and bottom that flex independently of one another, and a design that can be tuned and tweaked to your specifications.

WHAT IS AVISO TECHNOLOGY?

As with all of the alternative surfboard technology available to you today, a common question is: can I ever get a true custom alternative surfboard? With that in mind, Aviso has multiple flex patterns to choose from, depending on your size, ability and wave conditions. According to Aviso, multiple flex patterns are achieved by the orientation of the fibers in the composite shell that makes up their board.

Templates are provided by shapers like Rusty, which are then turned into the final Aviso product.

WHY SHOULD YOU HAVE AN AVISO IN YOUR QUIVER?

The Aviso concept is a fun one to play around with. The composite shell and hollow core that is the board absorbs energy as you pump down line, which correlates to propulsion and speed that reacts with the flexing deck and bottom. What the hell does all that mean to you as a shredder? It means you've got a board that maintains speed and turns like nothing you've ever turned before.
