BIO: Remember when a young Australian nicknamed “Occy” exploded into the 1985 Op Pro and stole the show from American sensation Tom Curren? We hope so, but if you don’t, remember this: the ’84 is the board that took Occy to the top.

SPECS: Low entry rocker and steep, angular rails with a flat bottom to slight vee off the tail. Its flat deck and beak-nose make this beauty straight out of the ‘80’s.

WAVE POTENTIAL: Occy killed it on this model in anything knee-to-overhead and so should you. 

REALITY CHECK: It wouldn’t be right not to say Huntington Beach—so think there and add some size and reef and you’ve got the ‘84’s range.

GREEN OR GURU? Both. Experienced surfers will enjoy the retro feel of this design because it is fast, skatey and is ready for some rail-to-rail power surfing. Novices will like the 84’s flat deck and stable feel.
